Brexit Party leader, Nigel Farage, held a rally earlier today in a shop car park in Merthyr Tydfil and as you can see from the photo above the turnout was rather embarrassing.

The event, held at the Trago Mills store in the town, cost £2.50 to attend and prospective attendees were advised:

“Please note this is an outside event, please bring waterproof and warm attire and a fold away chair if you wish to sit down.”

Getting his excuses for the low turnout in early, Farage tweeted this before the event started:

The rally came on the day that it was announced that 4 former UKIP AMs have defected to the Brexit Party. The 4 in question are Mark Reckless, David Rowlands, Caroline Jones and Mandy Jones and they become the Party’s first Parliamentarians anywhere in the UK. The group will be led by Reckless, although Plaid Cymru are calling for the group not to be recognised.

Don’t worry Scotland, Farage is due to speak at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh on Friday night. Let’s hope he gets the same sort of “friendly” welcome he got last time he visited when he was forced to hide in pub toilets.
